Help! I am trying to find my Dad's BG and squadron
numbers. He flew 5th AAF B-24's (primarily), B-25's
and B-26's late '43 to mid-late '44. His navigator
was Scotty Blair; his bombadier was Grant Logan; I
think his plane was called The Flying Lady, but Sis
thinks it was The Red-Headed Gal. His name was Irwin
Russell Compton but he went by "Comp". He got his
combat quota by mid-'44, but had met my mother by
then - she was a nurse in Mayo's outfit - and wanted
to stay so piloted additional weather recon runs.

Thanks!
